Why Bible Memory?

Charles Spurgeon said, "The Bible in the memory is better than the Bible in the bookcase." Bible memorization is something that can never be taken away from an individual.  Children that have cultivated this important skill will be able to glean from it throughout their lives.

Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditate on his law day and night. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither- whatever they do prospers. Psalm 1:1-3 NIV

Being a prosperous, fruit-yielding individual is something that we all want for our children. Let's help them meditate on the law of the Lord day and night!
